Another Mike Lee Emergency - The Roadless Rule!
Once again Utah’s Senator Mike Lee is doing his damnedest to destroy, steal, defile, usurp, obliterate American wilderness and other wildlands.
This time he’s using his ill-gotten power as the chairman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources committee to insert a hidden rider into a lousy “Wildfire Prevention” bill authored by Senator Barrasso.
This rider would forever remove the Roadless Rule, a USFS regulation for 25 years now that apparently has the greatest public support on record of any policy in American History. If my reading is correct it seems that 60 votes would be needed to pass it, but given the phony fire bill it’s wrapped in and the de-facto secrecy of Mike Lee’s latest method, it could still happen if we don’t act to stop it now.
